Tora no Tsume translates to "Tiger's Claw". Why do we call ourselves the tiger's claw? it is because we are united. United we stand. A single claw is capable of doing great work, but when each claw of the whole hand come together in a common effort there is nothing we cannot accomplish. At The Tora no Tsume we do our best to pass on multiple martial arts in an effort to provide the greatest value to whomever walks through our doors. We adhere to the Japanese traditions and disciplines. Whether a new student learns Shin Shin Ryu Iaijutsu, Aiki-jujutsu, Toyama-ryu, or Ryu no Tate jutsu, what really brings us all together is comradery, love for the arts, and common values of discipline, honor, and respect.
