Ashtanga Collective offers high quality and individualized yoga instruction through Mysore style Ashtanga Vinyasa. Students practice independently in a group setting with the support and guidance of a teacher to modify a set sequence of postures that they memorize over time to fit their needs. This is a traditional style of yoga as taught by Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, both senior Ashtanga teachers. The studio is directed by Ashley Hixon. Upon your first visit you can expect to have an in depth introduction to the Sun Salutations and Finishing poses, the building blocks of an Ashtanga yoga practice. You can plan to spend 30-45 minutes your first day and the instructor will tell you everything you need to know
