Kate Mara, Ben Schwartz, and Adam Devine Star in the Second Season of Murder in HR, a Human Resources Murder-Mystery Podcast

San Francisco and New York – September 30th, 2024 -- Caspian Studios, Wellhub, and BambooHR announce season two of the Webby-winning podcast Murder in HR. 

Murder in HR lead characters are voiced by Kate Mara (Black Mirror, A Teacher), Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog, The Afterparty, Parks and Recreation), and Adam Devine (The Righteous Gemstones, Workaholics, Pitch Perfect).

The fictional series picks up where last season ended: the AI-powered tech startup Peace of Ship opening a new headquarters in Brazil. Jemma (Kate Mara) finds herself in new territory: interim Head of HR. Her first task? Hire a new CTO. That is, until one candidate ends up dead. Now she must find the killer to save the company. What could go wrong?  

“‘It was so much fun getting to play this character again. Different circumstances, but the same hysterical tone and adventures,” said Mara, who is starring in the podcast again after a successful first season., “And being able to act alongside Ben Schwartz was really fun.”

Oh, and her new Travel Coordinator, Shane, is also a mole. 

“I think it's such a fun character because you can tell he's got a little bit of a crush on Jemma, but also that he's a tech geek,” said Ben Schwartz, who plays Shane, “He wants to be good, but you get to play these layers because he's also a mole.”

The show is created, co-written and directed by Ian Faison, CEO of Caspian Studios.   

“Season 2 is fantastic. It has the same absolutely ridiculous, silly comedy as Season 1 but also a contained murder mystery,” said Faison. “The cast is incredible.
