NEW TO BATTERSEA!.. This is a 30-minute class that feels like Personal Training. The Strength Sessions are small-group bodyweight strength classes with just four people per session, combining the energy of a group class with the coaching attention and personalisation of PT. Classes follow a carefully designed bodyweight strength system built around a mix of single-leg squats, basic gymnastic holds (yes, you CAN do them!), and traditional calisthenic movements designed to build real strength, coordination, core control and a body that both moves well and looks its best. With such a small group, every rep is performed under the watchful eye of the coach — something that’s increasingly rare in group fitness. You’ll quickly realise how much productive work can be achieved in just half an hour, and most people notice clear improvements in strength and control within just a few sessions. Sessions are designed to stimulate muscle and build strength without completely draining you, making them easy to fit into a busy schedule and sustainable to do regularly. The class has also proven extremely popular with Yoga and Pilates regulars looking to add strength training, as well as many gents who know they’d benefit from a bit of coaching and a more structured approach than drifting around the gym between sets. Every movement can be adapted to suit absolute beginners through to serious athletes, so Tom will quickly find the right level for where you are now and show you what you can work towards. Many members drop in regularly for a focused half-hour session, while others take two classes back-to-back for a longer workout.
