Welcome! I share 14 years of Yoga teaching experience with over 500 hours of Yoga teacher certification. We observe a safe practice which is mentally, physically and spiritually healing. For COMPLETE BEGINNERS, there are specific sessions to help you learn the poses safely and at your own pace. We observe any injuries to help to heal over time with regular practice. STRETCH only classes for those who run or lift weights, play golf, tennis or any other demanding sport to keep muscles and joints supple and release lactic acid. YOGA NIDRA is a powerful de- stressing and healing MEDITATION CHAIR YOGA for seniors and those with limited mobility or injuries YIN YOGA if you wish to go deep and heal old injuries, relax deeper and increase mobility. This practice integrates and nourishes the nervous system. SOMAYIN A different and very healing style of Yoga I also offer “Somayin”, which I have created combining Somatics with Yin for healing and maintenance of the mind and body. In these sessions, we re-train the brain and the nervous system to move the body correctly ending the cycle which causes stess, illness, trauma or injury and their effects causing physiological, emotional and physical harm. We can feel helpless and stuck in a rut with the belief that there is nothing to be done., that we must “live with it” or “manage it”. This is not true as combining Somatics into our practice has proven. MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY: Yoga is self-mastery, a skill which translates the learning and growth we experience beyond the mat. There is no destination in life as I believe it is an ongoing journey, ever expansive. I teach inclusive, trauma, age and ability sensitive classes which embrace every practitioner who seeks both physical ease and spiritual growth to realize that we are indeed more than the limitation of our body through self-awareness and meditative progressive sessions which illuminate the spirit and reflect the true beauty and majesty of yoga and oneself.
